Each season we take a few of our beehives to the New Forest to forage on the heather heathland, where the bees produce a mono-floral honey from the Ling Heather flower.
This is a rich, heady, aromatic honey in the comb, offering a unique taste of the New Forest heathland. Affectionately referred to as the ‘British Manuka’, Ling Heather honey is a thixotropic (gel like) honey, amber in colour and deep in flavour. It’s a special one!
Delicious squashed on hot grainy toast and particularly good with a salty cheese as part of an indulgent cheeseboard offering.
All our honey is unpasteurised and from our own bees. It is harvested with care then carefully cut from the comb and boxed by hand in small batches. It is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.
Honey is not recommended for infants under 12 months of age.
